Lee Style Tai Chi
Tai Chi is an ancient Taoist art, often referred to as a moving meditation. It has been used for centuries to maintain health both physically and mentally.
Practising Tai Chi offers many benefits including improved flexibility, health, relaxation and mental focus. All Lee Style Tai Chi exercises use gentle, circular movements, in a relaxed manner, making it suitable for all ages and abilities.
Tai Chi Classes in Balsall Common
Classes are held at Balsall Common Village Hall on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 - 9pm further information
A typical Tai Chi class starts with a warm up - where we loosen all the joints in the body, followed by a mix of exercises, including K'ai Men (sometimes referred to as Taoist Yoga exercises), partner exercises which help improve sensitivity, and two series of movements - the Tai Chi dance and form.
Clothing: Loose, comfortable clothing in which you have freedom of movement.
Classes are £6 per week (£4 for full time students). When you first attend you will be given a registration form for the Taoist Cultural Arts Association which is £30/year.
